What will you find Fire Volunteers doing?
Community Service
- Medical aid standbys at community events
- Special fire prevention activities
- DART assistance
- EMS Standby for Special Olympics
- Assists in "Fill the boot" fundraising events
Fire Response
- Respond to 2nd alarm or greater fires
- Provide REHAB for firefighters
- Wild land fire responses
Disaster Response
- Whatever is needed
- Auxiliary Communications
- Logistical Support
- Sand bagging
- Medical Aid
What do we require?
Active Participation in operation of the Sacramento City Fire Volunteers
- We require you to attend all drills.
- To serve 1 night shift each month operating our rehab unit.
- To attend your weekend duty day for community events & fire response.
- To attend 50% of emergency station activities.
A valid Class B License
- Training will be provided.
A CPR for the professional rescuer card and a first responder card
- Training will be provided.
A Professional Mature Attitude
- We want the fire volunteers to look professional at all times.
